ABOUT THE ARTIST

Eileen Langenberger was born and raised in Germany and is currently based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Though she always had a deep love for art she first pursued fashion design, textile engineering and later neuropsychology. With four degrees in her pocket she eventually started feeling burned out and creatively unfullfilled while working as a psychologist. This led her to take the leap and focus on her art in 2026.

INSPIRATION & MOTIVATION

Inspired by the resilience of the human mind, Eileen's paintings capture emotions and vulnerability. Her mission is to create meaningful art that makes people feel seen.
Her curiosity and appreciation for change and variety inspire her to explore and mix a diverse range of artistic mediums, including gouache, watercolor, oil pastels, acrylics, and colored pencils.

PHILOSOPHY

Eileen uses art to tell stories about people. Her background in the textile industry and as a psychologist has sharpened her view on the systems we live in. Her art practice explores and critiques these systems. It aims to empower through expressive portrait paintings and by focussing on the needs that unite us.

The themes authenticity, love, connection, and belonging are at the heart of her work.
